NEW JERSEY (WPIX)— On the heels of New York's passage of Gov. Andrew Cuomo's same-sex marriage bill, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie weighed in, saying, "I am not a fan of same-sex marriage. It's not something I support. I believe marriage should be between one man and one woman. That's my view and that will be the view of our state, because I wouldn't sign a bill that -- like the one that was in New York.Can just hear the disdain in his voice at the end there, no? News for Gov. Christie -- one does not need to be a "fan" of marriage equality to come to the conclusion that there is no legal reason to be against it. Two brave Republican lawmakers in New York did just that last Friday. Here and here. And both these men are lawyers. Just like the good Governor.
