Pete Seeger, the great American treasure turned 92 this week. So many songs to choose from.
This popular song was considered symbolic of the Vietnam War when Pete Seeger was invited to perform on the Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour in 1967. He choose to tape this song, but CBS management censored the performance prior to broadcast. Following an uproar, CBS then allowed Seeger to come back and sing the song on the show in early 1968.
